Jakub Rozehnal

Jakub is a director of Planetum – Observatory and Planetarium of the Capital city of Prague, Czechia. He studied Astronomy and Astrophysics at the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics of Charles University and is also the head of the Štefánik observatory. 

Jakub specializes mainly in small bodies of the Solar System, in particular, the study of asteroid families and the study of the decay of small bodies. He is the author and co-author of several publications in high-impact journals and conference papers. He lectures on astrophysics at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Czech Technical University.

Jakub is also involved in popularizing astronomy, physics, and related sciences. He has given dozens of popularizing lectures and is the author or co-author of several educational programs and popular science books. He is a member of the Aldebaran Group for Astrophysics, the Czech Physical Society, and the American Astronomical Society.
