About FP Awards

Who is it for?

High school and university students.

Eligible projects

We have just three criteria for the projects:

  1. It is led and, for the most part, done by students. External suppliers are OK.

  2. It uses technologies for a good cause contributing to some of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

  3. There is at least a working prototype or proof-of-concept to demonstrate the project’s idea. A concept paper or a PowerPoint presentation is not enough.

That’s all! And yes, you may participate in multiple teams and with multiple projects simultaneously.

Evaluation Criteria

The submissions will be evaluated with the following criteria:

  • How well the project leverages technology for good

  • Degree and scale of its positive impact

  • How innovative and creative is the solution

Jury

The Jury comprises selected Future Port Youth speakers, partners, and team members.

Projects associated with jury members or their organizations are not allowed to participate.

Certificate

All submitted eligible projects will get a Certificate of Participation in the Future Port Awards competition for their team members.

This gives students a competitive advantage, showing their entrepreneurial and innovative extracurricular activity.

Prizes

Three finalist teams will be invited* to Prague, Czechia, for the award ceremony held at the Future Port Youth 2023.

Prize Money

🥇Main Prize: 2.000 EUR

🥈2nd place: 1.000 EUR

🥉3rd place: 500 EUR

🏆Popular Choice: 500 EUR


*Includes travel expenses within the EU and accommodation for up to 3 team members.

The winners will enjoy the beautiful city of Prague and visit partner organizations and leading local innovators as part of their accompanying program.
