About FP Awards

Who is it for?

The awards are open to current high school and university students (before completing their master’s degree).

Eligible projects

We have just three criteria for the projects:

  1. It is led and, for the most part, done by students. External suppliers are OK.

  2. It uses technologies for a good cause contributing to some of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

  3. You have at least a working prototype or proof-of-concept to demonstrate the project’s idea. A concept paper or a ppt presentation is not enough.

That’s all! And yes, you may participate in multiple teams and with multiple projects simultaneously.

Evaluation Criteria

The submissions will be evaluated with the following criteria:

  • How well the project leverages technology for good

  • Degree and scale of its positive impact

  • How innovative and creative is the solution

Certificate

All submitted eligible projects will get a Certificate of Participation in the Future Port Awards competition for their team members to show their entrepreneurial and innovative activity.

Award Ceremony

Three finalist teams will be invited* to Prague, Czechia, for the oficial award ceremony at the Future Port Youth 2025 conference. The trip will include:

  • 2+ days in iconic Prague with travel and accommodation covered*

  • Official winner’s certificates

  • Official press release (in English and Czech)

  • Media interviews (based on media interest)

  • Professional photo shooting and video interview

  • Social media coverage

  • Visit to partner organizations and leading local innovative companies (optional)

*up to 500 EUR for teams traveling within Europe and up to 1000 EUR outside of Europe.
