Main activity of FlockLock is monitoring animals on the pasture. This is done using Smart tags. Everything is simple: Animals wear a tag that monitors where the animal is and what it is doing. All data from the tag is sent to the cloud, where it is evaluated. The evaluated data is displayed to the farmer in a simple mobile app. If something is wrong on the pasture, the farmer receives an immediate notification and can start taking action.

Monitoring animals on pasture brings many benefits:

- availability of grazing information in real time

- detection of the estrus period and birth detection

- detection of a lost/stolen animal

- long-term statistics on herd production and efficiency

- data of the pasture use and enclosure optimization

- immediate notifications about the critical condition of animals

- long-term reports and statistics for farmers and veterinarians

- automatic registration of animals

The application of smart monitoring devices can also save considerable costs associated with cattle on pasture:

- finding lost animals

- reducing the number of animals that die during cow birth

- reduction in the number of non-pregnant cows and a significant increase in the economic result

Smart tags make it much easier to keep beef cattle on pasture while knowing what's going on in the pasture. This contributes to sustainable beef production, which is one of the key issues currently being addressed. Cattle inherently belong to pasture and above all to nature. Under suitable conditions, beef production can therefore run without producing a carbon footprint!

The solution developed by the FlockLock company thus offers not only a practical system for animal husbandry, but also significant help with manipulation and optimization of the herd, which makes breeding more efficient and significantly saves costs!
