
Who is it for?
High school and university students.
Eligible projects
We have just 3 criteria for the projects:
It is led and done, for the most part, by students. External suppliers are OK.
It uses technologies for a good cause helping to improve some of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
You have at least a working prototype or proof-of-concept to demonstrate the project’s idea. A concept or a PowerPoint presentation is not enough.
That’s all! And yes, you may participate in multiple teams and projects simultaneously.
Evaluation Criteria
The submissions will be evaluated with the following criteria:
How well the project leverages technology
Degree and scale of its positive impact
How innovative and creative is the solution
Jury
The Jury will comprise selected Future Port Youth speakers, partners, and team members.
Projects associated with jury members or their organizations cannot participate.
Certificate
All submitted eligible projects will get a Certificate of Participation in the Future Port Awards competition for their team members.
This gives students a competitive advantage, showing their entrepreneurial and innovative extracurricular activity.
Prizes
Three finalist teams will be invited* to Prague, Czech Republic, for the award ceremony held at the Future Port Youth 2023.
Prize Money
🥇Main Prize: 2.000 EUR
🥈2nd place: 1.000 EUR
🥉3rd place: 500 EUR
🏆People's Choice: 500 EUR
*Includes travel expenses within the EU and accommodation for up to 3 members of each team.
As part of their accompanying program, the winners will enjoy the beautiful city of Prague, and visit partner organizations and leading local innovators.
